Rules:
We at the Modders Network openly encourage you to speak your mind. It is important to say what you are thinking and share your ideas with the rest of the community. With that being said, there are 2 basic things that will not be tolerated:
1. Instances of racism and religious discrimination.
2. Outright insults, flaming, or expressions of hate towards another member of the community.

All violations of these 2 rules will be considered by the staff when and if they arise.

Signatures and Avatars
1. Signatures and Avatars must not be large and obtrusive to others browsing the site.
2. They must not violate the 2 rules above.
3. In order to protect our sponsoring vendors, signatures and avatars that contain links/banners/promotions of vendors that are not a current sponsoring vendor, are considered to be a violation of ModdersNetwork.com's public policy, and are strictly prohibited. The only exception to this rule is logos of manufacturers that our vendors actually sell (Cobb, SPT, Prodrive, etc).

If someone's signature or avatar is of concern to you, please contact an administrator.

Etiquette and Guidelines:
While we are a fun loving group of people, we should all try to respect each other's questions and opinions. Please try to respect your peers and follow some of this basic etiquette:
1. Leave tech threads to tech. There is nothing worse than reading a tech thread as it degenerates into 6 pages of nonsense.
2. If someone is asking for help, do your absolute best to help them out. Don't tell them to search the forum without providing at least some sort of explaination.
3. Try to read and contribute to the tech threads. They are the chunky bits that make up the forum. While the street racing and non-technical areas of the site are a lot of fun and help build familiarality with other members, the knowledge base of the forum, and the amount you learn, will be greatly enhanced if you also spend time in the technical areas.
4. If you post something that contains content that could get someone in trouble if they are viewing it at certain locations, please put [NWS] in the beginning of the title of your thread. This keeps heat off your fellow modders.
5. Please post descriptive titles. Instead of "Yayy!!", write what you are happy about. Instead of "Help!!", write what you need help with. This makes it much easier for people searching to find threads pertaining to their search and it makes it more likely that someone will visit your thread to help you or share in your joy.

These are not things that you must do and no one will ban you if you do not do them. They are simply things that can help contribute to the rest of the site and help it develop.

Notes to New Members:
1. Please do introduce yourself in the new members section.
2. Add your car to the garage system. This will put your vehicle under your name in your posts and make it easier for us to help you. Beware: posting mods can be addicting.
3. There are some slight restrictions on new accounts in regards to posting pictures, signatures, hyperlinks, and other profile options. These will become enabled as you contribute to the board. If you need to post a link or a picture immediately, please contact a moderator or an administrator and we will do what we can for you.

Please remember that we have as few rules and restrictions as possible. Shit, we don't even have a swear filter. The community welcomes you and we hope you enjoy your time here.
